Assoc Prof Dr Adli Azam bin Mohammad Razi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, UiTM, and a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Gleneagles Hospital Johor, Medini. A UKM and UM graduate, he completed his thoracic surgery fellowship in Korea. He was among the pioneers who established UiTM’s cardiothoracic surgery service in 2013 and performed Malaysia’s first robotic thoracic surgery in 2018. Actively involved in postgraduate training, he serves on the MBCTS and UiTM-IJN programme committees. His clinical interests include minimally invasive thoracic surgery and off-pump CABG. Prof Dr Mohammad Haniki Nik Mohamed obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy (USM, 1992) and Doctor of Pharmacy (University of Tennessee, 1996), followed by a post-doctoral fellowship before returning to USM. He later joined IIUM, serving in various leadership roles including Deputy Dean and Acting Dean. A pioneer in tobacco control, he was a core member of Malaysia’s first CPG on smoking cessation (2003), chaired the 2016 CPG on Tobacco Use Disorder, and currently chairs key tobacco policy committees under the Ministry of Health. He also coordinated USM’s first multidisciplinary quit-smoking clinic and led the National e-Cig Survey 2016. In 2024, he received the Malaysian Paediatric Association Outstanding Child and Adolescent Advocacy Service Award for his impactful contributions.

Dr Zabri earned his PhD from the Institute of Health and Society, University of Newcastle, UK, with a specialization in Public Health Psychology. A trained mixed methods researcher, Dr Zabri brings comprehensive expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, with a strong emphasis on methodological development, research ethics, and project management. His contributions at NIH are multifaceted—he currently serves as a member of the Medical Research and Ethics Committee (MREC) and the NIH Research Review Panel (JPP-NIH). Previously, he led the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Research Cluster. Beyond NIH, Dr Zabri contributes to national innovation and research through his involvement with MOSTI as a Technical and Commercial Panel Member and a member of the My Social Innovation Panel. Assoc Prof Dr Murallitharan Munisamy is a Public Health Physician from Malaysia. He trained as a Medical Officer under a Government of Malaysia scholarship. He subsequently completed a Masters in Community Health Sciences at the National University of Malaysia and read for a PhD in Public Health at the College of Public Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand under an ASEAN Economic Community scholarship. Dr Murallitharan was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship in 2015 by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and completed a term as a Fellow in Health Policy, Planning and Financing at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics and Political Science, two of the top world’s top universities. In addition to working in multiple capacities with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and multiple organisations including the World Health Organisation, Dr Murallitharan was also previously an award-winning journalist for the New Straits Times, one of Malaysia’s leading English newspapers. Dr Murallitharan is also passionate about and deeply involved with healthcare services for marginalized and underprivileged groups and works closely with many service organisations. Dr Murallitharan is currently the Managing Director of the National Cancer Society of Malaysia. He was selected one of the world’s Young Cancer Leaders for 2019/2020 by the Union for International Cancer Control, the world’s largest grouping of organisations working in cancer. In 2022 he was awarded World’s Best Cancer CEO by the UICC, the first Malaysian to be awarded this honour. Dr Norhidayu Salimin is a clinical oncologist practicing at the National Cancer Institute (IKN), Putrajaya, specialising in treatment of various solid tumour sites through systemic and radiation therapies. Datin Dr Zuhanis (aka Dr Anis) graduated from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1995. Then she join the radiology master program of University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2006. She graduate and become radiologist in 2009 . Seven years later she continue to pursue in subspecialty program in thoracic radiology for another three years. She did her attachment in Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital under the supervision of Professor Sujal Desai in 2019. Since then , she continue to provide service in thoracic radiology fraternity covering the whole country with the help from other thoracic radiologies colleague and her fellow. She has trained 7 thoracic radiologist in Malaysia at present. She actively participates in various committees such as MAHTAS Committee For Endobronchiol Intervention for Lung Emphysema, 2018, develops guideline in US abdomen for Non Radiologist and multidisciplinary discussion body for Interstitial Lung Disease. She is also a member of European Respiratory Society (life member), European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI), Member of Malaysian Thoracic Society (MTS-Life member) and member of Society of Thoracic Radiology (STR). She is active in development and education of interstitial lung disease for Ministry of Health of Malaysia through many collaboration with universities and pharma companies. She is currently involved in Lung Health Initiative programme spearhead by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. She has various publications to her name and also participated in research/clinical trial.
